Many people only see the Carnival
Court at their own town Carnival and so do not realise how
important a role the Carnival Queen plays in promoting the
town around the country, and futher afield.
In a town like Ramsgate, where visitors are so important, the Carnival Court encourages tourism.
As can be seen from some of the pictures, on the link below, Ramsgate has been promoted abroad during 2007/8, and the Carnival Court was in the London New Year's Day Parade and Miss Ramsgate was in Disneyland Paris in January.
